An exhibition combining history and the visual arts in a project that explores the contribution made to Burnie’s historical development by its long established papermaking industry and the people who have worked within it. The display will consist of artwork as well as archival material drawn from a variety of sources including the Burnie Paper Mill itself. These include photographs, documents and artefacts as well as video footage. The exhibition will also feature a collection of artist books, commissioned especially for this exhibition, each of which will trace in some form an aspect of Burnie’s paper story. |
