The Green Thumb Spectacular Weekend aims to bring together gardeners and other plant enthusiasts from around Tasmania to share ideas and help Tasmania's unique horticultural resource to fulfil more of its enormous potential.
The ability to grow and enjoy a broad range of plants sets Tasmania apart from the harsher climates of mainland Australia.

Since the earliest of times of European migration, Tasmanians have consistently demonstrated their need and interest in growing plants for their survival and well being.

The estabishment of this event as an annual focus of such pursuits will provide a lasting focus for many Tasmanians for generations to come, and benefit those seeking to further enhance the Tasmanian environment for the benefit of all.
